KansasCOM Environmental Branding
KansasCOM is the first osteopathic medical school in Wichita, Kansas. I worked collaboratively with a writer, the school, design manager, and a signage company to complete and fabricate installation of all environmental graphics.
The initial start of the project kicked off in February 2022 with a Zoom walk through of the empty 5 story campus. The school sent along pictures and floor plans where I started to brainstorm ideas for each wall.
Initial mockups were done with Adobe Illustrator, and concepts were presented in an interactive form using Adobe XD where the user clicked on a plus sign on the floor plan to view the concept design of the wall.
All fabrication of Phase 1 designs were completed by July 27th, 2022 for the Grand Opening. There are modular wall vinyl in order to swap out photos with real students in the future, raised acrylic lettering quotes and mission statements, vinyl wall timeline, acrylic standoffs, and frosted glass.
Phase 2 will kickoff in September 2022.
